Norma G. Hudson, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 7, 1923, in Genoa, Ill. A resident for six years, she was a retired circuit court clerk for the county government, an auxiliary member of the VFW and Elks.
She is survived by her husband, Donald R.; two sons, John L. Hickey of North Las Vegas and Dean Hudson of Waterman, Ill.; two daughters, Leslie A. Hickey of North Las Vegas and Laurie Hudson of Aurora, Ill.; two sisters, Edna Mae Ott of Kingston, Ill., and Myrla Underwood of Sycamore, Ill.; and one grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Jo Ann Lansinger
Jo Ann Lansinger, 68, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 13, 1930, in Waterloo, Iowa. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired schoolteacher, a member of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Breakfast Club, Monday Laid Back Bridge Club and the National Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by two stepdaughters, Jacki Bolar of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Linda Roth of Mansfield, Ill.; one stepbrother, Bob Naylor of Traer, Iowa; one stepsister, Mid Schurr of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Maurice 'Ted' LeClair
Maurice "Ted" LeClair, 84, of Ivins, Utah, died Thursday in Utah. He was born Nov. 16, 1914, in Fairfield, Maine. A former Las Vegas resident for 69 years, he was a pipe fitter, a member of Pipefitters Local 525 and the Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Louise; three sons, Eugene Dimick, Patrick LeClair and Michael LeClair, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Joanne Barrett of St. George, Utah; two brothers, Earl Pomerleau of Austin, Texas, and James Vandermeer of Las Vegas; one sister, Sue Pinjuv of Calico Basin; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.
Owen 'Mo' Mahoney
Owen 'Mo' Mahoney, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 30, 1928, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 46 years, he was a retired music shop owner-operator and a World War II Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his companion, Beverly Bollinger, and three sons, Martin Mahoney, Michael Mahoney and Christopher Mahoney, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Mary Fennessey of White Plains, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. A private burial will follow.
Alex McCook Jr.
Alex McCook Jr., 44, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospice. He was born June 15, 1954, in Portsmouth, Va. A resident for 25 years, he was a self-employed window designer.
He is survived by his father, Alex McCook Sr., and two brothers, Robert McCook and Jeffrey McCook, all of Castro Valley, Calif.; and one sister, Deborah McCook of Sacramento.
No local services are scheduled. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Pearl W. Sibley
Pearl W. Sibley, 49, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1949, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 37 years, she was a member of the Culinary Union.
She is survived by her husband, George; two daughters, Erica Washington and Marilyn Washington, two sons, Eric Washington and Andrew Washington, and three sisters, Irma Smith, Mary Hart and Sheila Benard, all of Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be noon Friday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
