Las Vegas news briefs

The body of Las Vegan Eric Hamilton, 34, was found on Nov. 16, and an autopsy showed that he had been shot to death. The investigation led police to Cinergi Heating and Air Conditioning at 1933 Western Ave. where police believe that Hamilton was killed.
Cinergi was being run by Peter Paul Limanni, 33, who has not been seen since Nov. 6, Jack Seka, a Cinergi employee told police.
Limanni is not considered a suspect in Hamilton's murder since Limanni has reportedly been gone since well before Hamilton was killed, police said. Police are trying to locate Limanni to make sure that he is okay.
Seka, who has left Las Vegas after being interviewed by detectives, is considered a potential suspect in the case, but there is not sufficient cause to arrest him at this point, police said.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Limanni or with information on Hamilton's murder is asked to call Metro Homicide at 229-3521 or Secret Witness at 385-5555. Callers may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
ROBBERY -- Metro police have made an arrest in connection with the Nov. 18 armed robbery at a Las Vegas convenience store.
Jimme Lee Feltus, 22, has been arrested and charged with robbery and burglary with a weapon at the Fasty's at 4701 W. Lake Mead Blvd.
In the robbery two suspects demanded money from a clerk and a shopper, police said. After giving the suspects the money the clerk was shot in the arm.
Two other suspects are still on the loose and police ask that anyone with information about the crime call the Robbery detail at 229-3591 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
FATAL ACCIDENT -- Henderson police have determined that a seizure was the cause of a Nov. 19 traffic accident on Boulder Highway that caused the death of a 10-year-old boy.
Nicole Pienik, 19, of Chula Vista, Calif., suffered the seizure and crossed over from the southbound lanes of Boulder Highway into the northbound lanes causing a head on collision with another pick-up, police said.
The 10-year-old boy, who was a passenger in Pienik's truck, had to be cut out of the wreckage, and was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital where he the pronounced dead.
Pienik, an infant that was in her truck, the driver of the other truck, and his passenger all recovered from their injuries.
DAMS -- The Bureau of Reclamation plans to increase the amount of water that flows through three dams along the Colorado River starting Monday in an effort to lower reservoirs such as Lake Mead for higher runoffs expected into next year.
The added flow will not be immediately noticeable. No water will run through the spillways.
Heavier rainfall and less demands by lower Colorado River water users in Nevada, California and Arizona prompted the bureau to increase river flows to try to head off potential spring flooding.
Hoover Dam, which created Lake Mead, should release about 21,600 cubic feet per second of water from about 8 a.m. until noon and again from 5 to 11 p.m. each day through at least Dec. 31.
Parker Dam and Davis Dam, both below Hoover, will also increase their flows each day.
Whether more water will need to be released in January and February is still unknown.
