Councilman vows to close sexually oriented business

McDonald says the sexually oriented business may be facing another shutdown - and soon.
McDonald led the fight to shut down the store last year. The store - located near a residential neighborhood - has been operating without a business license since it reopened in October.
The city's first attempt to shut down the store, in December 1997, was ruled unconstitutional by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in September. The court ruled the city ordinance used to close Hot Stuff did not provide for a prompt judicial ruling when a business appealed the denial of a license.
