Sprint of Nevada, the dominant telephone company serving Las Vegas, should receive permission to enter agreements with four companies that intend to use Sprint lines to provide phone and data transmission service for businesses.
Commissioners are expected to approve agreements between Sprint and Electric Lightwave Inc., Amber Communications Inc., E-Z Talk Communications LLC and United States Telecommunications Inc.
A fifth agreement, between Sprint and e.spire, expands an existing agreement. Commissioners also are expected to approve a similar agreement between Nevada Bell, which operates outside of Clark County, and Pacific Bell Mobile Services.
Comm/Net Services Corp. also is expected to receive permission to operate as a telecommunications services provider in the state.
