The Las Vegas Thunder announced Wednesday it signed sizable left wing Dean Ewen for the 1998-99 season. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder spent his last three season with Kansas City. In 47 games last season recorded two goals and two assists with 178 penalty minutes. The Thunder now has 12 players under contract. Training camp opens Sept. 18 at the Santa Fe Ice Arena.
