Clark County Commissioners Myrna Williams and Erin Kenny, who are seeking re-election this fall, are well ahead of their competitors in the race for campaign cash.
So is Dario Herrera, who is vying for the seat that will be vacated by Commissioner Lorraine Hunt.
Williams collected $383,575 through Tuesday, including more than $157,000 from the gaming industry. Her Democratic opponent in District E, Tony Badillo, has raised only $3,277.
The winner of next Tuesday's primary will square off in the Nov. 3 general election against Republican Mark Smith, who has raised $101,275.
District F incumbent Kenny, a Democrat, has raised $657,524. More than $138,000 came from the gaming industry.
The leading Republican fund-raiser in that race is Steve Harney, with $96,822. Most of his largest contributions have been in the form of in-kind services, including $5,000 each from Mark Fierro & Associates, Highway Rentals Inc., Dynatel Inc., and Las Vegas Color Graphics Inc.
Hunt is vacating the District G seat to run for lieutenant governor. Herrera, a state assemblyman, is by far the leading Democrat in that county commission race with $310,003 in contributions.
Herrera has received more than $116,000 from the gaming industry. Herrera's closest Democratic foe in the fund-raising department is Richard Bonar, with $21,995.
The two Republicans in that race, Milt Doyle and Ernie Freggiaro, have amassed $78,950 and $51,186 respectively. Almost half of Freggiaro's money came from loans.
