Better yet, he's getting a raise and a hefty bonus.
The board voted on Thursday to increase Phil Keene's pay by 3 percent. The $4,350 hike puts his salary at $149,350 starting Jan. 1.
His bonus is a whopping 15 percent. The $21,750 is the most allowed under his contract.
Reno Mayor Jeff Griffin led the praise: "You have done your job - perhaps beyond our expectations," he said.
