Despite setback, tourism group pursues PGA tour stop

The club goes before the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority today seeking $500,000 toward the $2 million that must be raised to put in its bid.
Montreux Marketing Director Jeff Blater said the club will bounce back from the withdrawal of the Eldorado and Silver Legacy - and their $250,000 pledge - from the effort.
Montreux is putting up $750,000. The Reno Hilton, the Flamingo Hilton, International Game Technology and the Reno Gazette-Journal are tossing in $125,000 each.
