Letter: Nation’s lack of integrity doing what our foes couldn’t
Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998 | 10:09 a.m.
What Germany, Japan, and the U.S.S.R. could not accomplish, a little change of attitude among our own people has. For the most part, our ancestors came to America looking for freedom. But now at this time we couldn't care a wit about freedom. It's all about wealth, power and fame. Nothing else matters.
The first family of our nation is in truth the very embodiment of the typical American family. Integrity has been put away in cold storage and there is no shame. Righteousness wanders in confusion. Moral degeneration stands supreme.
The political body pretends to sit upon the throne of God. All look to the government, and their prayer stops there. The religious faith of this nation is in the media and the institutions of higher learning, lifted up as if they were high in the air.
Their doctrine and influence have deceived the nation. They ignorantly point a finger of scorn at the greater intelligence. So completely converted are they that they take vicious retaliation upon any and all who might oppose them.
