The Rebels (285-285--570) are led the tournament after Monday's 36 holes by one stroke over TCU and East Tennessee State. Southern California and Oklahoma State round out the top five. The tournament features an elite field of 15 national golf powers and is being held at the same course as the 1998 NCAA Division I Golf Championships will be held.
Junior Charley Hoffman (71-68--139) led UNLV individually after shooting 5 under par on the day, good enough to tie for second place. J.J. Henry of TCU leds the tourney with a 9-under 135.
Other Rebels competing are Bill Lunde (68-75--143) and Jeremy Anderson (72-71--143), who are both tied for 13th, Morten Vildhoj (75-72--147) in a tie for 31st and Scott Lander (74-74?148) in a tie for 43rd.
The tournament will conclude with 18 holes today.
