Metro asks for help in locating missing boy

Metro Police are requesting the public's help in locating a 13-year-old boy reported missing by relatives.

Christopher Backenstow was last seen in the 8100 block of Flanagan Drive near Rainbow Boulevard and Grand Teton Drive. Investigators expressed concern for the boy's welfare because of a possible life threatening medical condition, the nature of which they did not disclose.

Christopher is described as 5 feet 1 inches tall, 105 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing a white, long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and black roller blades.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police at 229-LOST (5678) or Nevada Child Seekers at 458-7009
