They said the body of Antheny Walker Sr. was found on the floor of his home early Friday.
Police were called by a neighbor who said Walker's wife had asked her to get help.
Detectives spent the day interviewing Walker's wife and several acquaintances in an effort to determine what led up to the shooting, but no charges were filed immediately.
