Petition organizer says signers are being retaliated against

Steve Levings complained to Elko County Sheriff Neil Harris that a letter from Councilman Ron Grube directed at recall petition signers targets them for retaliation.
In the letter, Grube said his "initial anger is now tempered by pity for the poor misled schmucks" who signed the recall petitions."
It continued, "Since I'm a little too old and fat to go around punching a few people in the mouth, all I can do is deny them access to my business services. Accordingly anyone who signs any of the recall petitions is no longer welcome to do business with Serendipity Electronics."
District Attorney Gary Woodbury said while Grube's letter is not politically smart, it does not amount to retaliation. He said Grube can do whatever he wants with his private business.
Grube denied the letter was threatening.
"I don't feel like dong business with people who are felony stupid, essentially," he told the Elko Daily Free Press.
