Accident injured three, leads to arrest

The accident occurred just after daybreak Tuesday on U.S. 95-Alternate 21 miles south of Hawthorne when a northbound car driven by Lisa Leitera, 21, of Las Vegas went out of control and overturned, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

A 22-year-old passenger, Christopher J. Gould of Pahrump, was ejected and was treated in Hawthorne then flown to Washoe Medical Center in Reno with a head injury. He was listed in stable condition.

Passenger Adam Christopher Gould, 3, was in a child restraint seat and received only a bruise.

The driver was checked for injuries at Mount Grant Hospital in Hawthorne, then turned over to the Nevada Highway Patrol for possession of marijuana, use of a controlled substance, driving left of center and speeding.
