A woman's body found by target shooters in the Moapa Valley desert has been identified as that of Devi Lynn Ives, 34, of Las Vegas.
Ives had been living with her parents in the area of Rancho Drive and U.S. 95 until Friday, the last day she was seen alive.
A man and his sons who were target shooting off State Route 168 near mile marker 15 found Ives' body on Sunday about 50 yards from the road while setting up a bottle to shoot at. The family told authorities that they had seen the woman's hip pocket of her jeans sticking out of the dirt.
Metro Police are trying to learn as much as they can about Ives and have requested that anyone who knew her call them at 229-3521. Anonymous tips can be called in to Secret Witness at 385-5555.
A $1,000 reward has been offered for information leading to her killer's arrest.
