Monthly Native American Flute Nights are free to the public at the gallery, which represents several flute makers who build professional quality instruments that even beginners find easy to play. Native American flutes are tuned to a minor scale, which gives them an almost mournful sound. Flute players blend a series of notes with special techniques to create its distinctive sound.
For information on Native American flutes, Flute Night, recorded music or prints featuring the flute, call Moonstruck Gallery, 364-0531.
