Letter: Gun owners next target in government’s war on rights
Saturday, Sept. 6, 1997 | 11:34 a.m.
Abandoning personal responsibility to blame a manufacturer is a dangerous evasion that will lead to your ultimate enslavement.
Case in point with the cigarette subterfuge: The government could care less about the public's health, it just wanted to set a precedent in order to pave the way to classify gun ownership as a mental "disease" as a prelude to total gun confiscation.
Like cigarettes, gun manufacturers will be blackmailed to cut a deal with the government to pay one large ransom in order to avoid being driven into bankruptcy by being sued by countless individuals.
The liberal media are trying to brainwash a gullible public into associating gun manufacturers with those "evil" cigarette manufacturers.
Despotic emperor Bill Clinton wants to disarm every law-abiding American and he plans on using his Praetorian Guard to enforce this decree.
It is simply this: You can't have an obedient, submissive slave if he owns a gun. That slave must first be disarmed.
The mental health racket will also help the emperor in his roundup of firearms by declaring everyone as too "mentally unstable" to own a gun. More and more children today are being put on drugs for treatment of "attention disorders." Any adult who has ever had any kind of counseling, belonged to a 12-step group or taken a Prozac will be automatically disqualified.
If you find this too much to believe, I suggest you find out the truth before the gate to the corral is locked on you.
