The final Friday of regular-season football is upon us and several matchups on tap tonight have postseason implications.
Four teams -- Valley, Green Valley, Chaparral and Las Vegas -- are tied for the Sunrise Division lead. Valley (5-3, 4-2) plays at Green Valley (6-2, 4-2) while Las Vegas (5-2, 4-2) travels to Chaparral (4-4, 4-2). Another Sunrise playoff hopeful is Eldorado and the Sundevils (4-4, 3-3) host Silverado (4-4, 2-4). The other Sunrise contest has Rancho (2-5, 2-4) at Basic (2-6, 1-5).
In the Sunset Division, the big matchup is at Western where the Warriors (6-2, 4-1) tangle with Cheyenne (6-2, 4-1). A Western victory gives Rich Stevens' team a No. 1 playoff seed. Cimarron-Memorial (7-1, 5-1) travels to Carson City to meet Hug (0-8). Durango (5-3, 3-2) is at Bishop Gorman (2-6, 1-4) and Clark (2-5, 1-4) hosts Bonanza (0-7, 0-5).
