Former bailiff indicted on child porn charges

A federal grand jury indicted Stephen Blair, 47, Wednesday on one count of transporting child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.

The indictment accused Blair of using a computer around Nov. 21 to transport a visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.

According to the indictment, Blair also possessed computer diskettes and hard disk drives around Feb. 24 that contained similar depictions of minors.

Blair was hired as a part-time bailiff in October 1993 and became full time a year later.

He resigned March 12.
