‘Art from Eye Street’ at the Reed Whipple

Valle, who is influenced by artists Jan Vermeer, Edward Hopper, David Hockney and Eric Fischl, chronicles human life by capturing ordinary moments in domest circumstances and infusing them with undercurrents of surrealism. A BFA graduate of Tyler School of Art and MFA graduate of Ohio University, Valle has conceived, designed and executed several figurative and trompe l'oeil murals in the Los Angeles area. She has taught art at Pomona College, Scripps College and Claremont Graduate School.
Gallery hours are 1-9 p.m. Monday and Thursday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday. For information, call 229-4631.
