YBRAHIM AGUIAR

Ybrahim Aguiar, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 24, 1936, in Cuba. A one-year resident, he was a plumber.

He is survived by two daughters, Lizette Aguiar and Carmen Aguiar; two brothers, Lorenzo Aguiar and Roberto Aguiar; and two grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

CORNELIA Q. ALIPIO

Cornelia Q. Alipio, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A five-year resident, she was born Sept. 2, 1922, in the Philippines.

She is survived by her husband, Jose B.; one son, Florentino Alipio of Waipahu, Hawaii; one daughter, Editha Aldan of Henderson; three sisters, Juanita Gallegos and Melicia Quitoras, both of the Philippines, and Marciana Matute of Waipahu.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday with a 3 p.m. rosary in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

FRED E. BLECHSCHMIDT

Fred E. Blechschmidt, 90, of Boulder City died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 14, 1906, in Rock Island, Ill. A 30-year resident, he was a retired materials engineer for the Bureau of Reclamation, a World War II Navy veteran, past president of the Boulder City Shrine Club, past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Desert Chapter 22, past area governor of Toastmasters International, member and historian of Boulder City Masonic Lodge 37, a member of Scottish Rite Bodies and Professional Engineers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Toria; two daughters, Mary Lou Downing of Tujunga, Calif., and Toria Sue Benson of Portland, Ore.; one son, Paul Blechschmidt of Boulder City; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

The family suggests donations to the Masonic Lodge or Order of the Eastern Star.

LINDA MAE HARPER

Linda Mae Harper, 67, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born May 13, 1930, in Carthage, Miss. A 15-year resident, she was a nurse for the mentally impaired, a volunteer for the sick and shut-ins and a member of Senior Friends.

She is survived by one son, Arthur Steele Jr. of Henderson; three daughters, Connie Shorter of Jackson, Miss., Louise Pullins of Las Vegas and Judi Steele of Henderson; two brothers, Purvis Lewis of Carthage and Willie Boyd of Jackson; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

GAIL MARJORIE HARRIS

Gail Marjorie Harris, 79, of Boulder City, died Monday in Boulder City. She was born Aug. 19, 1918, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. A 16-year resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, William Harris of Boulder City; three granddaughters, Kristy Willette of Boulder City and Eileen Harris and Heather Harris, both of Waseca, Minn.; and one grandson, Kevin Harris of Waseca.

Visitation is scheduled 2-5 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Boulder City Cemetery.

ANGELINA L. HART

Angelina L. Hart, 81, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A 17-year resident, she was born Aug. 24, 1916, in Inwood, N.Y.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne S.; one son, John W. Hart of Plano, Texas; one brother, Phillip Angiere of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Mary Angiere of Las Vegas and Rose Bona of Webster, N.Y.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

CHARLES GORDON HAYES

Charles Gordon Hayes, 83, of Laughlin died Oct. 5 in Laughlin. He was born March 13, 1914, in Washington state. A 30-year resident, he was self-employed.

He is survived by two brothers, Sid Hayes of Ukiah, Ore., and Larry Hayes of Yelm, Wash.; and two sisters, June Hobart of Monroe, Ore., and Phyllis Hayes of Alaska.

OLLIE RAY JACKSON JR.

Ollie Ray Jackson Jr., 55, of Las Vegas died Oct. 6 in a local hospice. He was born March 29, 1942, in Augusta, Ga. A four-year resident, he was a bus driver.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; one daughter, Sharon Ingram of North Carolina; his mother, Ethel Jackson of Augusta; six sisters, Kathy Thomas of Union City, Ga., Carol Jackson of Riverdale, Ga., Ida Lamar of Edmonds, Wash., Juanita Blount of Loganville, Ga., Key Jackson of Douglasville, Ga., and Barbara Rosemond of Atlanta; and three brothers, Bernard Jackson of Diamond Bar, Calif., Michael Jackson of Fontana, Calif., and Mark Jackson of Atlanta.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. A private burial will follow.

CHRISTOPHER LATOC

Rupert Christopher Latoc, 12, of Las Vegas died Monday. He was born Oct. 23, 1984, in San Diego. A one-year resident, he was an eighth-grader at Robison Middle School.

He is survived by his parents, Pilar V. and Michael E. Latoc, and one brother, Michael G. Latoc, all of Las Vegas; two aunts, Trini V. Sanchez of Los Angeles and Grace V. Baquiran of Palmdale, Calif.; three uncles, Jay R. Sanchez of Los Angeles, Juan A. Baquiran II of Palmdale and Jose W. Torres of Las Vegas; and three cousins, Catherine, Vanessa and Michael.

Visitation is scheduled 1-6 p.m. Thursday and 1-8 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

JIMMIE C. LEE

Jimmie C. Lee, 53, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born March 30, 1944, in Louisiana. A 29-year resident, he was a hotel porter.

He is survived by two sons, Joe Lee and Tyrone Lee, one daughter, Tiffany Carter, six brothers, Robert Lee, Willie Lee, Henry Lee, Glenn Lee, Marvin Lee and Oliver Lee, and four sisters, Bessie Lee, Effie Lee, Mary Lee and Sally Lee, all of Las Vegas.

DOROTHY A. MONTE

Dorothy A. Monte, 85, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 17, 1912, in New Bedford, Mass. A 47-year resident, she was a member of the William H. Nellis Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 9774, Senior Citizens of Filipino Americans of Nevada and American Association of Retired Persons.

She is survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

JOSEPH J. NOWAKOWSKI JR.

Joseph J. Nowakowski Jr., 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born April 1, 1934, in Lorain, Ohio. A five-year resident, he was a retired county employee and was a member of the United Polish Club, Elyria, Ohio.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; one daughter, Michelle Benton of Newbury Park, Calif.; two sons, Michael Nowakowski and John Nowakowski, and his mother, Minnie Nowakowski, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Marjorie Bratovich of Las Vegas and Jean Poplar of Lorain; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 8 p.m. today and is scheduled one hour prior to noon services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

ELIZABETH JEAN PALLARES

Elizabeth Jean Pallares, 92, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 5, 1904, in Rushville, Ind. An 11-year resident, she was a customer service representative with Western Union and past minister of Huntington Park Christian Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Gloria Smyth of Wilton, Calif., and Charleen Gensler of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

HILDEGARD A. PITMAN

Hildegard A. Pitman, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A six-year resident, she was born May 1, 1914, in Mulheim, Germany.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde F.; one son, Peter Pitman of Henderson; one brother, Hans Ulrich of Bottrop, Germany; and two sisters, Edith Engel and Heata Dasbach, both of Nurenberg, Germany.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

SUSAN LEE RICHARDSON

Susan Lee Richardson, 46, of Mount Charleston died Tuesday at Mount Charleston. She was born Aug. 21, 1951, in San Francisco. A 17-year resident, she was self-employed in antiques and collectibles.

She is survived by her husband, John; one son, Wesley Richardson of Mount Charleston; one daughter, Angie Richardson of Fowlerville, Mich.; one brother, Earl Taylor of San Francisco; three sisters, Irene Cedibca and Jenine Torvic, both of San Francisco, and Carol Mayavich of Sacramento, Calif.; and one grandchild.

American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

PHYLLIS TESTA RICCOBENE

Phyllis Testa Riccobene, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born July 26, 1923, in Chicago. A 10-year resident, she was a retired school district cashier.

She is survived by her husband, Salvatore Jr.; three daughters, Janna Pickert of Henderson, Marlene Dover of Lombard, Ill., and Phyllis Lee of Addison, Ill.; one son, Sal Riccobene of Henderson; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will continued until 8 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

BEATRICE WARSHAW

Beatrice Warshaw, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 24, 1922, in New York. A two-year resident, she was a bookkeeper.

She is survived by two sisters, Gloria Oliver of Las Vegas and Estelle Van Oostrom of Irvine, Calif.; one brother, Arthur Walshaw of Bellflower, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

ANN L. WILLEY

Ann L. Willey, 58, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 23, 1939, in Evansville, Ind. A 33-year resident, she was a homemaker, active with the Girl Scouts for many years and was a member of dog obedience clubs for German shepherds.

She is survived by her husband, Blair; two daughters, Tonya Cheesman of Las Vegas and Sherry Jackson of San Diego; one brother, Michael Fulkerson of San Diego; and two grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled until 5 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens.
