Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997 | 9:41 a.m.
Stewart will earn $78,367 a year in her new job. She fills a seat vacated by Galen Denio and has a two-year appointment.
The PUC was created by the 1997 Legislature, which dropped the panel's old name - Public Service Commission - and cut it from five to three members.
