Letter: Promise Keepers has higher code; members deserve praise
Wednesday, Oct. 8, 1997 | 4:44 a.m.
Is it the promise about serving Jesus Christ and honoring God's word? Is it the part about pursuing vital relationships with other men? Could it be the promise to practice spiritual, moral, ethical and sexual purity? Maybe it's the part about building strong families? Perhaps it is the part about supporting church work? Or maybe it's the promise to reach beyond racial and denominational barriers for biblical unity? If it's not one of those, it must be the final promise -- the one where men commit themselves to influencing this world, trying to win souls for Christ's kingdom.
If you ask me, Rep. Ensign and the others who are part of the group should be hearing our praises. It sounds like they are working to shore up the foundation of our nation, which has become so weak.
