Letter: Adelson’s back-room tactics with Republicans is disturbing

Voters should be on the watch for these kinds of back-room tactics from Harris and Adelson. I would suggest that Nevada have its own campaign finance independent counsel to investigate the Adelson influence over the GOP in Nevada and also to investigate Harris and his handling of the purse strings.

Harney and his fine family have done so much in service to this community, that it is an insult to their integrity that Adelson and Harris tried to pull such a tactic.

Politics is not just a playground for those with mega casinos or for former inept lobbyists for Las Vegas. And for Adelson to think he can have the Republican Party bought and paid for as his own little fiefdom goes against everything that our Founding Fathers fought for. I urge all like-minded people to rise up and show Adelson and Harris that politics in Nevada is not for sale. And let's show Adelson and Harris who really runs elections in Clark County -- the voters!
