* LAKE MEAD -- Anglers fishing for striped bass continue to have mixed results as some are connecting with fish while others report little or no success. Fair action is being found by shore anglers at Boxcar and Crawdad coves. Boaters are catching small stripers at Boxcar and Black Island. Anglers trying their luck in the Overton Arm report having some success for stripers in coves north of Stewart's Point and at Fish Island. Stripers are also being caught by drifting anchovies in Iceberg Canyon. Channel catfish are taking a variety of baits in shallow coves at night. Largemouth bass are becoming more active as the weather cools and are being caught in coves and along dropoffs.

* LAKE MOHAVE -- Striped bass fishing has been good above Cottonwood Cove for the few anglers who have taken to the water during the past week. The better location for stripers has been the area above Owl's Point. Stripers weighing from one to two pounds are being caught by drifting anchovies. Trout fishing has been fair above Willow Beach for boaters who are drifting and casting small spoons and spinners toward shore. Largemouth bass fishing has been very slow.
