UNLV defensive end Talance Sawyer was named All-Western Athletic Conference by the Football News. Sawyer, a 6-foot-2, 260-pound junior, currently leads the conference in tackles for loss with 17 in 10 games. No other Rebel made the team. Wyoming led all programs with four selections. Pacific Division teams received 15 of the 22 positions. Colorado State quarterback Moses Moreno was tabbed the WAC's player of the year.
