Developer says Riverside Hotel can be saved

Charles Davis, project manager for OliverMcMillan, told the City Council on Wednesday that the Riverside can be restored without more money from the city for earthquake retrofitting.
But Davis said needed improvements to the Mapes would require anywhere from $5 million to $9 million.
The council is expected to determine the destiny of the two historic buildings on Monday.
