WILLIAM GILMAN
William Gilman, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1922, in New York City. A 13-year resident, he was an aerospace engineer and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ada; four daughters, Barbara Gilman of Las Vegas, Susan Harrison of Billings, Mont., Cheryl Perry of Anchorage, Alaska, and Patricia Barton of Fullerton, Calif.; two sons, Ron Gilman of South Riding, Va., and Robert Rich of Santa Cruz, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Nevada SPCA, 650 White Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
RUTH MYRON
Ruth Myron, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 6, 1921, in Bridgeport, Conn. An eight-year resident, she was a founding member of Temple Bet Knessett Bamidbar of Sun City, a charter member of four City of Hope chapters and president of the Sun City Summerlin chapter and a member of the Sun City Pan Club.
She is survived by her husband, Seymour; two sons, Richard Myron of Wellington, Fla., and Ken Myron of San Diego; one daughter, Monica Carmona of Agoura, Calif.; one sister, Doris Weintraub of New York City; one brother, Morton Perlman of Plantation, Fla.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to City of Hope, Chapter 1499, Sun City, Summerlin chapter.
JEAN SEGOTA
Jean Segota, 75, of Red Lodge, Mont., died Saturday in a Montana hospital. She was born Aug. 31, 1922, in Absarokee, Mont. A former 30-year Las Vegas resident, she was a member of Culinary Union Local 226 and was active in St. Joseph Catholic School and Bishop Gorman High School parent clubs, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Catholic Services and the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John; two sons, Robert John of Palatine, Ill., and Michael William of Laurel, Mont.; one daughter, Stacey LeAnn of San Diego; one brother, Gordon C. Marshall of Red Lodge; two sisters, Agnes Mizer of Bellevue, Wash., and Afton Favero Johnson of Red Lodge; and two granddaughters.
No local services are scheduled. Olcott Funeral Chapel, Red Lodge, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Northern Rockies Cancer Center, Box 369, Billings, MT, 59103 or the donor's favorite charity.
TODD BRIAN SMIKEL
Todd Brian Smikel, 32, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 30, 1965, in Muncie, Ind. A 22-year resident, he was a restaurant manager.
He is survived by his mother, Karen Smikel, and one brother, Jay Smikel, both of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Gretchen McConnell of Boise, Idaho, and Jennifer Smikel of Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
