Man robs, rapes clerk at Boulder City Motel

Police say the man came into the Super 8 Motel about 3:10 a.m. and asked the female clerk a question, then left. The man returned moments later, jumped on the counter, brandished a gun, and took an undisclosed sum of money from the cash drawer. He then ordered the woman into a back office area, where he raped her.

Police say the rapist told the victim he knew where she worked and lived, and not to tell anyone.

The suspect was described as 17 to 27 years old, with a stocky build, and short black hair. He was wearing a jersey with the name Smith on the back, possibly a Dallas Cowboys jersey, police said.

The victim was treated at University Medical Center and released.
