Measures Approved
* PAROLE -- SB5. Requires certification before sex offenders may be released on probation or parole. To Assembly.
* VICTIMS -- SB6. Revises provisions governing notice to victims and to witnesses in sexual or violent crime cases regarding convict's status. To Assembly.
* SEX OFFENDERS -- SB99. Requires that presentence investigation of sex offenders include a psychosexual evaluation. To Assembly.
* CHEMICAL CASTRATION -- SB101. Provides for treatment of repeat sex offenders with chemical compounds to reduce sex drive. To Assembly.
* SEX DATA -- SB103. Requires state to establish program to compile and analyze data concerning sex offenders. To Assembly.
* STORAGE -- SB247. Provides that rental agreement for facility for storage must include disclaimer of liability for loss or theft of personal property. To Assembly.
* TELEPHONE -- SB265. Increases penalty for unauthorized use of telephone to a felony. To Assembly.
* CIVIL LIABILITY -- SB330. Provides that community action agencies are political subdivisions of this state for purposes of determining civil liability. To Assembly.
* STATUTES -- SB359. Ratifies technical corrections made to statutes of Nevada. To Assembly.
* THERAPIES -- SJR18. Urges Congress to reform Food and Drug Administration to ensure that health care products, therapies and cures are available to public in a timely manner. To Assembly.

* WARRANTY -- SB401, Titus. Requires manufacturer to provide a warranty for a device that provides "major life activities" including wheelchairs, hearing aids and voice synthesizers. To Commerce and Labor.
* DOMESTIC VIOLENCE -- SB402, Titus. Revises penalties imposed for spouse-beating, provides for multidisciplinary team to investigate the death of a victim of domestic violence. To Judiciary.
* WILDLIFE -- SB404, Government Affairs. Expands the purposes for which an area or zone for the preservation of a wildlife habitat may be created in larger counties. To Government Affairs.
* INSURANCE -- SB405, Government Affairs. Makes changes concerning deposits to and expenditures from the fund for insurance premiums. To Government Affairs.
* PRISONERS -- SB406, Judiciary. Requires attorney general, a district attorney and an agency of criminal justice in this state to respond promptly to a request from the department of prisons for information on pending charges against an offender. To Judiciary.
* SECURITIES -- SB407, Judiciary. Extends the scope of regulation of securities exchanges. To Judiciary.
* COMMISSION -- SB408, Judiciary. Revises exemptions from certain requirements for registration of securities and licensure of people effecting purchases or sales of securities.
* EMINENT DOMAIN -- SB409, Judiciary. Limiting the exercise of power of eminent domain for byroads to public agencies. To Judiciary.
ASSEMBLY

* GOVERNOR -- AB236. Appropriates $81,470 for computer upgrades and furniture in governor's office. To Senate.
* ALCOHOL AUDIT -- AB239. Provides audit for effectiveness of alcohol and drug treatment programs. To Senate.
* NEVADA DAY -- AB396. Authorizes state ballot measure on whether last Friday in October should be declared a state holiday for Nevada Day. 34-5. To Senate.
* LANDLORDS -- SB87. Requires landlord of a mobile home park to notify manufactured housing division of changes in management. To Senate.
New Measures
* WORKER'S COMP -- AB502, Labor. Prohibits injured employees from recovering compensation for injuries unless those injuries were treated by a physician. To Labor.
* INSURANCE -- AB503, Labor. Requires school districts to insure teachers in school to work programs. To Labor.
* UNEMPLOYMENT -- AB505, Labor. Requires labor commissioner to establish program to aid workers who have been laid off. To Labor.
* PER DIEM -- AB510, Ways and Means. Increases total per diem allowed for state employees to $96 from $90. To Ways and Means.
* FIREWORKS -- AB511, Chowning, others. Authorizes state fire marshal to regulate types of fireworks. To Government Affairs.
