Last week: Tiger Woods won the Byron Nelson Classic for his third title of the year and fifth in 16 PGA Tour events as a pro. Woods closed with a 2-under 68 to match the tournament record of 17-under 263.
Notes: Fuzzy Zoeller is entered along with Woods, marking the first time they have been in a tournament together since Zoeller's racially charged comments during the Masters. ... Woods leads the money list with $1,290,350, also tops the U.S. Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup standings, and has jumped to No. 3 in the world rankings behind No. 1 Greg Norman and No. 2 Tom Lehman. ... Woods signed an endorsement deal with American Express on Monday. MasterCard is the title sponsor of the tournament. ... Notes: Sorenstam, a three-time winner this year, finished third last week in the LPGA Championship. The Swedish star leads the money list with $606,079. ... Last week: Chris Johnson won the LPGA Championship at Rockland, Del., holing an 8-foot par putt on the second hole of a playoff with Leta Lindley. Johnson and Lindley closed with par 71s for 3-under 281 totals.
Notes: Patty Sheehan set the tournament record of 16-under 272 in 1983, and Patti Rizzo matched it in 1985. ... The Michelob Light Classic is next week at St. Louis, followed by the Oldsmobile Classic at East Lansing, Mich.

Last year: Dale Douglass birdied the third hole of a playoff with Tom Wargo and John Schroeder for the 60-year-old's 11th tour title. Douglas, who turned 61 in March, closed with a 2-under 68 for a 4-under 206 total.
Last week: Bruce Crampton won the Cadillac NFL Classic at Clifton, N.J., for his 20th senior title, holing an 8-foot birdie putt on the third hole of a playoff with Hugh Baiocchi. The 61-year-old Australian closed with a 5-under 67 to match Baiocchi at 6-under 210.
Notes: Crampton set a tour record for the longest stretch between victories at 5 years, 2 months, 10 days. ... Lee Trevino, the 1992 and 1994 winner, withdrew before the second round last year because of back spasms. Douglass is the only other two-time winner, also taking the 1990 title. ... Hale Irwin, a four-time winner this year, leads the money list with $785,631. ... The Ameritech Senior Open is next week at Long Grove, Ill., followed by the BellSouth Senior Classic at Opryland in Nashville, Tenn.

Last year: Italy's Costantino Rocca closed with consecutive 3-under 69s for a two-stroke victory over England's Nick Faldo and Scotland's Paul Lawrie. Rocca had a 14-under 274 total.
Last week: Sweden's Per-Ulrik Johansson won the English Open, closing with a 5-under 67 for a two-stroke victory over countryman Dennis Edlund. Johansson, a four-time European tour winner, had a 19-under 269 total.
Notes: The winner receives a 10-year tour exemption. ... Faldo is making his first European appearance of the year. He won a record fourth title in the event in 1989 at Wentworth, also the site of his two World Match Play victories. ... German star Bernhard Langer won the tournament in 1987, 1993 and 1995. ... The tournament is in its 14th straight year and 17th overall at Wentworth, the tour's home course. ... The Deutsche Bank Open is next week at Hamburg, Germany, followed by the European Grand Prix at Hexham, England.
