Water-efficient landscapes sought

When Southern Nevadans start demanding three times the water in the hot summer months, AquaVision, a group of business and community leaders, elected officials and water agencies, will help recognize water-efficient landscapes.
AquaVision's annual landscape awards are being co-sponsored this year by the Southern Nevada Water Authority and recognize local citizens who have the vision to plant landscaping that reduces water use and still create beautiful desert environments.
Participation is open to all homeowners and professionals who have designed water efficient yards in the Las Vegas Valley. Applications are judged on aesthetics, plant selection, irrigation system, maintenance and use of mulches.
