Woman goes wrong way on freeway
Thursday, May 15, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
The Nevada Highway Patrol says Hazel Payne began her drive in Sparks, going west in the eastbound lane.
She ignored the patrol car until the trooper finally forced a minor collision near Gold Ranch, almost at the California line.
Nobody was hurt and neither car was extensively damaged.
Charges were being evaluated, but the woman's driver's license has severe restrictions on it, including no freeway driving.
