Rock’s ‘On Tour’ to stop in LV
Thursday, May 15, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum "On Tour" will visit 40 U.S. cities with a visual, photo and film exhibit. "On Tour" will be at the Boulevard Mall, Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road, from Friday through Monday.
The Hall of Fame "On Tour" includes an original surround-sound film that captures the essence of the museum and offers glimpses of the annual induction ceremonies. Also included in the exhibit are prototypes of electric guitars, along with photographs of some of rock's best-known guitar innovators.
The highlight of the exhibit is a comprehensive photo display by world-renowned photographer Neal Preston. His photographs of backstage life before and after the show seize the emotion of many of today's and yesterday's rock icons.
"On Tour" also will offer the public a sampling of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, its history and its inductees.
"On Tour" began in Fort Worth, Texas, on Jan. 16 and ends in St. Louis on Nov. 9.
