Letter: Leave Lamb alone; Lobby instead for more parks

It is commendable that there are people who feel strongly about the parks in our area, but rather than using all that energy and talent for organizing to fight against the way a park is named, it would certainly be most productive and worthwhile if they would campaign for more and better parks.

It seems to me that we Nevadans are to easily influenced by a very minuscule portion of the population, that, for whatever reason, has nothing better to do than circulate petitions. It would be a much better world if those same people attacked the social ills of the community with the same zeal.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, we true Nevadans stick up for the oldtimers, remembering the good in people, not the bad.
