* CAMPAIGNS -- SB215. Makes various changes relating to elections, campaign contributions and making false statements about candidates. To Assembly.
* VETERANS -- SB234. Revises provisions on use of gifts of money or personal property donated to veterans cemeteries. To Assembly.
New Measures
* LIBEL -- SB389, Titus. Prohibits a person from making a false statement of fact concerning a candidate or a question on a ballot. To Government Affairs.
* ABUSE -- SB390, Transportation. Requiring peace officers' standards and training committee to establish training programs on elder abuse. To Transportation.
* CHILDREN -- SB391, Commerce and Labor. Appropriates $100,000 to Division of Child and Family Services to help adoptive parents of children with special needs. To Finance.
* SEX -- SB392, Judiciary. Prohibits advertising of sexually related businesses in some locations and prohibits prostitution referral services. To Judiciary.
* INSURANCE FRAUD -- SB393, Regan. Provides immunity from civil liability in some cases to people who provide information on insurance fraud. To Commerce and Labor.
* FRAUD CONTROL -- SB394, Regan. Requires establishment of fraud control unit for insurance within attorney general's office. To Finance.
* MENTALLY ILL -- SB395, Regan. Revises provisions governing commitment of mentally ill people, calls for study on quality of state care provided to mentally ill. To Human Resources and Facilities.

* BONDS -- AB201. Authorizes state treasurer to make loans to water authorities as part of municipal bond bank. Senate amendment concurred in. To governor.
New Measures
* RETIREMENT -- AB481, DeBraga. Allows police and firefighters to retire at any age if they have served at least 25 years. To Government Affairs.
* FUEL TAX -- AB482, Taxation. Requires collection of fuel taxes by those who sell fuel. To Taxation.
* EVICTION -- AB484, Judiciary. Revises procedures for appealing summary evictions. To Judiciary.
