Letter: Nolen should stop hiding behind loopholes and resign
Wednesday, May 14, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
To look for loopholes in the law and base his defense on the fact that there is no law that dictates the time he has to spend in the office is repugnant! To compare himself with county commissioner, city councilmen and judges is insulting!
How many judges stay home or go to the golf course and leave their courtrooms in the hands of their law clerks and justify this by saying that their courtrooms are being run efficiently and they are available by cellular phone should the law clerk have any questions?
You granted yourself the unwarranted privilege of getting a paycheck while others did your job and that is wrong, unethical and should be illegal!
Time to quit lying to the public and hiding behind loopholes!
