Atlantic City casinos suffer a stagnant April

The casinos won $315.3 million from gamblers, 0.1 percent less than they did in April 1996, the state Casino Control Commission reported. About $224 million was won by the city's 32,000-plus slot machines, the commission said.
Seven of the 12 casinos reporting their results did worse last month than they did in the same period of last year. Harrah's Casino Hotel, Showboat Casino Hotel, Tropicana Casino and Resort, Trump Plaza and Trump Taj Mahal all had better months this year.
Following are the casinos, their revenue for April 1996, their revenue for February 1997 and the percentage change:
-Atlantic City Hilton: $20.6 million, $19.2 million, down 7 percent.
-Bally's Park Place Casino Hotel: $29.2 million, $26.7 million, down 8.6 percent.
-Caesars Atlantic City Hotel Casino: $37.5 million, $28.4 million, down 24.2 percent.
-Claridge Casino Hotel: $14.9 million, $14.1 million, down 5.2 percent.
-Harrah's Casino Hotel: $25.5 million, $26.2 million, up 2.5 percent.
-Resorts Casino Hotel: $21.4 million, $21 million, down 1.9 percent.
-Sands Hotel Casino: $22.5 million, $22 million, down 2.2 percent.
-Showboat Hotel Casino: $27.3 million, $30 million, up 10 percent.
-Tropicana Casino and Resort: $26.5 million, $30.5 million, up 14.9 percent.
-Trump's Castle Casino Resort: $22.9 million, $22.3 million, down 2.3 percent.
-Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino: $27.3 million, $31.3 million, up 14.9 percent.
-Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort: $39.9 million, $43.4 million, up 8.7 percent.
