Padres to bolster LV roster

The Las Vegas Stars, who have lost six players to the parent San Diego Padres in the past two weeks, should get at least three players back this week.
On Sunday, the Padres announced they would option first baseman Derrek L. Lee back to Las Vegas this morning to make room for Wally Joyner, who is due to come off the disabled list.
The Padres also expect infielder Scott Livingstone and pitcher Joey Hamilton to come off the DL this week, meaning the Stars likely will receive two more players by the weekend. Infielder Terry Shumpert is expected to be returned to Las Vegas when Livingstone is activated.
The Stars, who have lost 12 of 16 games since the injury-riddled Padres started raiding their roster on April 23, return to Cashman Field tonight to open an eight-game homestand against Calgary and Albuquerque.
