Monday, May 12, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
A coroner's report said Luke Dawson, 32, was resting his head on one rail with his body sprawled on the tracks when the Union Pacific train struck him early Sunday.
Toxicology reports were pending to determine if alcohol was involved.
The engineer sounded the train's horn but Dawson did not respond, police said.
