The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Police say the man was hiking with two friends on Saturday when they became separated. The two friends thought the man had returned to town and didn't realize he was missing until they returned to Las Vegas.
The body of the victim was found in a rugged section in the Mary Jane Falls area of Kyle Canyon. The body had to be airlifted out of the remote area by police helicopter.
