Girl, injured in accident, deserves fun at camp
Monday, May 12, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
IT was one of those accidents that bring sadness to all concerned. Judy was playing on the sidewalk when her uncle backed out of the driveway. He didn't see the little girl. The accident almost took her life.
For several years she has needed special care, which caused medical expenses to multiply and there wasn't enough insurance to cover the years of treatment.
Today Judy has a slight limp but it doesn't stop her from being a healthy, happy girl who desperately wants to go to summer camp. The family is financially unable to pay the costs so they have turned to the SUN Camp Fund for help.
Judy will go to camp because so many people care about our needy or physically handicapped children.
