Riviera show statue unveiled
Thursday, May 8, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
Artist Michael Conine of Santa Fe, N.M. is scheduled to be on hand. The statue was inspired by the resort's controversial ad featuring seven showgirls prominently displaying their naked buttocks.
The three-quarter-ton monument is a tribute to the 10th anniversary of the Riviera's "Crazy Girls" show. It is made of patina on bronze and will stand before a marble facade at the front of the Strip resort.
