SENATE Measures Approved
CHARTER SCHOOLS - SB220. Authorizes formation of charter schools. To Assembly.
STUDENTS - SB169. Provides for independent study by full-time students in high schools. To Assembly.
GUARDIANS - SB231. Revises provisions governing appointment of guardians, requiring parental notification. To Assembly.
EQUIPMENT - SB229. Authorizes leases and installment contracts for purchase of certain equipment by agencies of executive department. To Assembly.
COMPUTERS - SB263. Authorizes state controller to establish program allowing state officers and employees to purchase computer software and hardware for personal use through state. To Assembly.
HOLIDAYS - SB267. Revises provisions governing closure of certain financial institutions on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and applicability of certain laws to financial institutions. To Assembly.

HEALTH CARE - SCR35, Commerce and Labor. Directs Legislative Committee on Health Care to study access to insurance for health care for Nevadans. To Legislative Affairs and Operations.
CLASSROOM - SB378, Finance. Appropriates $178,000 for governor's "Classroom on Wheels" program. To Finance.
EDUCATION - SB379, Finance. Makes various changes governing education including evaluating performance and holding accountable public schools. To Finance.
HISTORY - SB380, Finance. Appropriates $26,000 to Nevada State Museum and Historical Society in Las Vegas for revenue shortfall. To Finance.
ASSEMBLY Measures Approved
INVESTIGATIONS - SB90. Creates revolving account for consumer affairs Division of Department of Business and Industry for undercover investigations. To governor.
TRADEMARKS - SB153. Requires that documents relating to trademarks filed with the state in languages other than English be accompanied by certified translation. To governor.
New Measures
XGR FUNDS - AB463, Ways and Means. Appropriates $4 million to legislative fund. To Ways and Means.
YOUTH CAMP - AB464, Ways and Means. Appropriates $11.7 million for construction at Spring Mountain Youth Camp. To Ways and Means.
LABOR - AB466, Krenzer, others. Requires tests of injured workers to conform to federal standards. To Labor and Management.
ADDICTION - AB467, Krenzer, others. Requires medical reviews of injured workers to include tests for drug and alcohol abuse. To Labor and Management.
CREDITS - AB468, Education. Requires that credits earned at state community colleges be accepted at state universities. To Education.
STUDENT INFO - AB469, Tiffany. Requires Department of Education to adopt $12.7 million statewide automated system with information on students. To Ways and Means.
