Post office gets new home

The Silver City Post Office recently moved to a new location on Main Street. The old office had been in use since 1953.
The post office opened in 1860 when the town was in Carson County, Utah, making it Nevada's fourth oldest post office.
Although some local residents protested the move, most agreed a new post office was necessary, postal officials said. The new post office features 500 mailboxes.
