The School Board has approved a middle school site at Hacienda Avenue and Denning Street in southeastern Las Vegas.
Although no students live in the area at this time, Dusty Denkins, in charge of demographics and zoning for the Clark County School District, said there is anticipated growth in the area. When built, the school will relieve enrollment at Burkholder, White and Woodbury middle schools.
This is the third location decided for middle schools being built with 1996 bond money. The school district already owns the land the school will be built on.
