Michigan shocked by Boston U.

"People often say the best team doesn't always win, but the team that plays the best does," Michigan coach Red Berenson said.
Michigan was far and away the best team this season and the best offensive team of the last decade. On Thursday night, they were no match for Boston University.
The Wolverines' quest to become the first team in 25 years to repeat as NCAA champ was crushed in a shocking 3-2 upset by the Terriers, who won consecutive championships in 1971 and '72.
"I think that was an incentive," Boston University coach Jack Parker said. "We didn't want them to take away from BU being the last one to do it."
