The Count Basie Orchestra will give two performances in the La Cage Showroom at the Riviera hotel-casino at 8 and 10 p.m. April 8.
The 19-piece orchestra, which originated in 1935, won a Grammy Award in 1997 for Best Large Ensemble Performance.
It is conducted by Grov-er Mitchell, who has been associated with the Count Basie Orchestra for 22 years.
In addition, he has played with Lionel Hampton and Duke Ellington and worked with jazz greats such as Billy Eckstine and Billy Strayhorn.
Show times are 8 and 10 p.m. Tickets are $20 plus all applicable taxes.
