Where You Stand for March 21, 1997

I would like to commend the police officers and stick up for them and to say that (Las Vegas City Councilman) Gary Reese and Mayor Jan Jones should get a police scanner and realize how much work and how busy the police officers are and that they do the best they can in this town. Just want to thank the police for the job they've been doing.

In our public relations fight against having the nuclear dump shoved down our throats, would it be too drastic to start accusing the offending senators and the Department of Energy of attempted genocide - because that's what it works out to be. That might garner some type of public support. Just wondering.
