Letter: Voters should be watching Ensign’s record on tax hikes
Friday, March 21, 1997 | 11:59 a.m.
My concerns are his voting record. We sent him to Congress to represent us on all money matters and vote according to the U.S. Constitution.
In assessing his voting record, he voted to increase our taxes six out of eight times on some of the largest bills voted on in the House recently. Examples are: Farm Bill HR2854, Debt Limit Extension HR3136, Housing Overhaul HR2406, and Minimum Wage Increase HR1227.
Let us keep his congressional voting record in mind and put pressure on him to vote by his constitutional oath.
